The Last Passover Supper

When the hour came,

Jesus and his apostles reclined

at the table. And he said to them,

"I have eagerly desired to eat

this Passover with you before

I suffer. Luke 22:14,15

The last passover supper was

the fulfillment of

the first passover supper.

Their implication of God's heart

goes back to Genesis 3:15.

The first men's sin against God

that has brought eternal death of

all mankind has to be redeemed

by the death of God himself to

meet his requirement for

men's righteousness.

Passover is symbolic teaching and

God's promise when God killed

lambs and made clothes for

the first sinners, and then

the Israelites his people killed

lambs for themselves to be

saved before escaping Egzpt.

These are the symbolic exercises

for the last supper that is

the eternal sacrifice of

God Jesus' death himself.

And then his redemption for men

is finished.

Now we can see why Jesus was

so eager to eat the last passover

supper with his entrusted disciples

before he himself becomes

the lamb for all sinners.

And God's redemption of

the grace be finished.

Lent, meaning 40days which is 40days before

Jesus crucifixion.

During Lent, God's children tend to purify themselves

and serve the others. The end week of the Lent is

Palm Sunday when Jesus entering Jerusalem on

a little donkey and people shouting Hosanna meaning

save us.

Then in the Passion week, on Friday about 3 O'clock PM

Jesus was forsaken by Father God on the cross, and died

because of all the sin mankind committed.

The sin was so great in God's eyes that his Son Jesus

had to be executed the extreme penalty crucifixion.

But in 3 days, Jesus was resurrected.

Because he has no sin. He is God.

Therefore, his death has right to forgive any sins

for anyone who believes in Jesus.

The resurrection of Jesus is an ultimate

victory over sin of which fruit is death.
