Peace
"I have told you these things,
so that in me you may have peace.
In this world you will have trouble.
But take heart!
I have overcome the world."
John 16:33
Jesus said in this world
his children have trouble.
Having trouble in life is normal.
It's not a big thing.
Jesus said as he has had trouble
and overcome so his children
have so.
How?
For Jesus said all about it.
It is indeed a big problem to
those who do not have
Jesus' words.
Those who have God's words
and not obey them of course
do not overcome.
This John 16:33 is the conclusion
of the promise to Jesus' disciples
at the last night.
This conclusion is with promises
for his disciples who are entrusted
with making known the eternal life
and abundant life that Jesus gives
to men by his death to pay off
men's sin and its death.
And then Jesus prays the most
important and victorious prayer in
struggles between life and death
for mankind
"Not my will but your will be done".
A few hours after this
Jesus made the way for mankind
to eternal life with the loud last
crying "It is finished".
The last night in the passion week
Jesus lastly promised his disciples
they would have war but overcome
and have peace as Jesus crushed
the head of the devil and overcome.
Amen.
Today's Christmas blooklet page 41
is continued, the Bible chapter to
memorize each month.
These chapters are the core
Christianity, only in Christian faith.
Now it is the chapter, John 14.
John 14-16 are the most heartfelt
Jesus’ promises and request for
his beloved 11 disciples: It was his
last night on earth after last passover
supper before his crucifixion about
12 hours.
“Let my love and my life and my
inheritance be made known to all ”
For this he promised everything:
He promised sending his Spirit,
the Holy Spirit.
His beloved 11 disciples received
Jesus promises of all privileges
as his children and workers.
Now this is the same to all
his children.
