                    My boasting was true

I had boasted to him about you,

and you have not embarrassed me.

But just as everything we said

to you was true, so our boasting

about you to Titus has proved

to be true as well.

And his affection for you is all

the greater when he remembers that

you were all obedient, receiving him with

fear and trembling. 2 Corinthians 7:14,15

Nowadays recommendations and

signs after notarize are considered

a certificate and important for jobs,

admissions to schools and

even marriages.

This credit system of recommendations

and signs was settled and generalized

in early Christian communities.

The lives of recommender and

signer as well as those who are

recommended can be entirely changed

with such an act.

Apostle Paul was anxious as he

recommended and boasted about the

Corinthian Church to his fellow

worker Titus that they receive

God's word faithfully and follow it.

Titus went with Paul's letter to

the Corinthian Church and met them,

saw and proved Paul's boasting

was true.

Titus, God's man deepened his love

for and confidence in them.

God's community of faith has been

built through such a process.

By them for the last 2,000 years,

Jesus culture have been created and

made free democracy for nations and

the world to develop better till now.

Jesus' culture is loving culture.

The 100 years old communism have

sprout from men's greed, suspicion,

bitter violence and murder; and its

fruit we see now in North Korea,

Russia, China and a few other nations.

Praise God, the Prince of Peace,

the righteous Lord !

The 2 Corinthians is the Apostle Paul's second letter to the 

Corinthian Churches. Letter is the most intimate and personal.

Two thousand years ago, the Corinth city in Greece reminds

us today's New York city. The Corinth seaboard city was

then a center of trade, merchandize, wealth and luxury.

Also there was the Venus temple which led people not only

to moral deterioration but also sexual disaster.

The original location of Humanism, which against Creator God

and focus on human, the Corinth city in Greece lay in

spiritually formless, empty and darkness.

Here by God's mercy small lights began to shine. They were the

Lord Jesus' house Churches. They belong to the low social class.

Envious and jealous devil attempted to destroy God's

House Churches by questioning Paul's integrity and Apostleship.

And it caused to delay and complicate the promised loving

collection as well for the poverty stricken Jerusalem church.  

It was the process of the life giving Gospel to us, and it

continues so. How beautiful are the feet those who

bring good news !
