Joy 8-3

The seed that fell among thorns stands for 

those who hear, but as they go on 

their way are they are choked by 

life's worries, riches and pleasures.

and they do not mature.

Luke 8:14

But when this son of yours who has 

squandered your property with prostitutes comes home,

you killed the fattened calf for him!

Luke 15:30

        ♪. Scriptures muttering daily with 

                        joy and thanksgiving

God's children's daily life is joy.

Dr, Bill Bright who started

Campus Crusade for Christ said

his life is like a joyful melody.

Surely heaven is the kingdom that

joyful people live joyfully loving 

each other.

Jesus said frequently,

heavenly kingdom is a feasting home,

my joy, to my joy I invite you

your joy will be complete,

I give my joy to you . . .

The gratitude for receiving the new life

by believing Jesus as Savior,

the hope that God's children live in the

loving fellowship with the Trinity God 

forever,

the joy of growing into the likeness of

Jesus character as obeying and endeavoring

in the fellowship with the Holy Spirit,         

the joy of the fruit by the victory in small

and great sufferings,

for we, God's children have all these 

heritages.

But to this normal life of God's children

the devil, God's enemy attacks with

deadly jealousy.

It's not only the attack of standing before 

the Red Sea following Egyptian Army behind

but like drizzle rain wet the clothes so

that their strength can be drained.

They are worries, riches and pleasures.

The third attack that the devil attacks

to steal the joy of God's children is

the pleasures of this world.

Worldly pleasure is man made fake joy.

God is holy therefore joy substance.

Men who can not survive without joy

so they try and attempt all kind of things

to obtain it since they lost Eden,

the garden of joy by their sin,

namely unfaithful to God.

They tried to build Babel tower and worshiped

all sorts of idols, obscene, pursuing 

prestige, materials and weird stuff whatever

in order to find joy again.

They all seem to give pleasure for a moment

but destruction follows at the end.

Drugs, alcohol, homosexuality,

gender transition surgery and the likes

are the same.                                         

Throughout human history there is no one like

king Solomon who had everything men desire.

As the beloved son of the greatest king David

At the age of 20, he inherited prospros 

kingdom, honor, wealth, power, king            respecting people,

fear of neighboring countries and every

good things you name.

His wisdom was given by his asking God,

thus it was unfathomable, he was

a wisest person on earth. . .

And he concluded his 60 years of life and

40 years of his reign.

"Everything was meaningless,

a chasing after the wind though I denied

myself nothing my eyes desired,

and refused my heart no pleasure including

one thousand of wives and concubines and

my wisdom the same.

His extreme wealth, honor, glory and

pleasure did not bring joy to him.

It may be true for all who has a small

part of what he had.

Human pleasure is only a guide to confusion

and emptiness.

Afterward Solomon had all these, he said;

"There is nothing better for people than

to be happy and to do good while they live."

Ecclesiates 3:12

"Here is the conclusion of the matter:

Fear God and keep his commandments,

for this is the duty of all mankind.

For God will bring every deed into judgement,

including every hidden thing,

whether it is good or evil."

Ecclesiastes 12:13,14

Joy comes only from God.

If one fears God he lives according to

his commandment. 

That is the wellspring of joy.

That is with everything of me to love

God who loved me to the point of death,

and to love others as much as I love myself.

Matthew 22:37-40

Then the joy of God springs up and

flows like a river and is complete.

Then what is love?

How to love?

Yes, it will continue in this joy series.
